Airbnb Discount Code - Save more by using this simple trick

You don't need an Airbnb discount code, the approach below can save you much more money.

We accidentally came across this simple trick after talking to some friends of ours that are Airbnb hosts, and they let us into this small and relatively unknown trick that anyone can do.

This is what you can do to take advantage of it.

1. Firstly, find a location that you would like to stay at (sometime within the next 4-6 weeks works best).

2. Send the host a message before you book it asking for a discount

3. Wait for their response

4. If you get the discount you want, book it with this link to get an additional 10% discount on your booking PLUS an extra £9 off!

On Airbnb, you can find the “Contact host” button right underneath the Property Description, and there isn’t a great secret on how the message should be written, just be straight to the point and courteous, explain that you love their property, it’s absolutely perfect for you.

Add a little something about yourself that makes it more personal, maybe you are using the property as a base to visit family or friends, or for a special occasion etc., or simply that you are tidy or quiet and looking for somewhere peaceful etc. This personal touch helps you connect to the host.

The fact that there is only 4-6 weeks to go before your planned stay could be enough for the host to be worried about not renting out the property so could be even more likely to provide a discount. Although this trick has been known to work at any time, so it’s always worth giving it a go.

Use some local language or something that show you are well travelled and stay in other properties often.

A sample message might be:

Hello John and Adele, hope you are well.

We will be visiting London between May 5th and May 11th and your beautiful property really caught our attention.

We noticed that the price for the 6 nights is £603, if you could offer this for £500 we would book it right now.

You’ll find us a very tidy couple and will keep the property very clean, in fact we will be out most of the time visiting family in the area and exploring the city.

Let me know if you can arrange the discount so we can book your beautiful property.

What will happen next if that you’ll generally receive a message back from the host agreeing to the discount, then a “Special Offer” email from Airbnb. The Airbnb email will be generated when the host discounts the rate in Airbnb.
